What happens when my artwork is sold?

You receive a text or email notification from Avaulte.  Packaging is shipped to the artist's studio. Shipping labels & Certificates of Authenticity are emailed to the artist.

How do I ship the artwork sold?

Artist packages work of Art with packaging provided. Artist drops off package to USPS or Local Postal Annex (within 2 to 3 business days). Contact Avaulte when you are unable to send within 2 to 3 business days.  Avaulte will update the buyer.

When do I receive my commission for the sold work?

Artists are paid monthly through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. For more information, please read section 9.5 in the Artist Terms of Service.

Can Avaulte artists be represented by a gallery and/or another online platform?

Yes, as long as the works in the gallery or another online platform are not displayed on www.avaulte.com. Any and all artwork submitted to Avaulte must only be available on www.avaulte.com and the artist’s personal studio. Please refer to section 8.1.3 Artist Terms of Service for more information.

When I upload my images to Avaulte, am I giving Avaulte ownership?

No. When you upload an image to our website, you remain the owner of that artwork.

Opt-In Commission Services: how does Avaulte handle communication between clients and artists with Commission Services?

Artists have the opportunity to opt-in to our Commission services.

Avaulte handles all the communication between artists and clients. To circumvent Avaulte, is a violation of the (Section 1) of Commission Services Agreement.

Key Points in the Artist Terms of Service

  • Requirements with Your Work Listed with Avaulte:  By uploading work to our website, you are stating that it is your work, and it is ready to be sold. (Section 6)
  • Online Sales:  When any of your artwork is uploaded to Avaulte, those works can not simultaneously exist on any other e-commerce platforms until your contract is terminated or you request to have a piece taken down see Sections (6.4, 8.1.3) in the Avaulte Artist Terms of Service.
  • Avaulte Marketing & Promotional Efforts:  Avaulte owns the promotional materials we create from your artwork. You waive the right to modify and use these materials. In the case that your work sells due to the Avaulte name, you agree to pay the standard commission rate to Avaulte within 30 days. (Section 10)
  • Transaction Restrictions: Avaulte is the intermediary between Avaulte artists and their clients. To circumvent Avaulte, is a violation of the Artist Terms of Service.  (Section 11)
  • Taxes: Avaulte Artists are expected to complete a W-9 form once a year. This form asks for your name, address, and taxpayer information (Section 12).
