Asters (Late Summer), by Barbara Trzcinski, 24" x 18", Oil, (Framed 35" x 25" x 2")This handful of late summer asters reminds me of the rag-tag bunches of flowers my mother would pick in the garden and fields around our home in New England. I’m still drawn to the disarranged beauty of wildflowers and weeds. In this wildflower art I tried to convey the unkempt fragility of these flowers.Curated Description: Asters (Late Summer) is a still life floral painting with a cool oil palette. The soft brushstrokes of the flowers give the bouquet a gentle impression despite using bold colors. The vase contrasts the flowers with detailed light reflections that are crisp against the blurred background.
