Fresh From The Wormhole, by Daniel Ketelhut
Fresh From The Wormhole, by Daniel Ketelhut, 64" x 42", Oil on Panel, Unframed
Fresh From The Wormhole briefly captures forms that dwell in the spaces between that which we know and that which we don’t. Officially known as an Einstein–Rosen bridge, a wormhole is a hypothetical feature of spacetime that would fundamentally be a shortcut through both space and time.
This piece of space fantasy art taps into my fascination with the strange and fantastic, reflected in my lifelong love of imaginative literature, the best of which transports the reader beyond the limits of natural law as we know it to behold or experience “the other”.
Curated Description: Fresh From the Wormhole is a surrealist composition painted with oil on panel. The variety of mark making and contrasting colors create an aggressive scene with an intense mood. Daniel Ketelhut captures "the other" in this bold, fantastical piece.
